Frigidaire side-by-side refrigerator keeps...

Question

The refrigerator pops the GFI outlet that it is plugged into in our garage. I change the outlet and have run other tools and appliances through the outlet without the same issue. When I plug the fridge in, the interior lights come on and I guessing when the motor turns on the GFI pops. Is this an easy fix or major problem. The fridge is around 7 or 8 years old. Thanks.
