Fringe science fiction show question?

Question

Ok, once upon a time I was an X files geek, (didn't like the first film may not see the second until it gets on cable), I read on line the pilot episode of Fringe, was on FOX a few weeks ago. One is that true or just more internet rumor if it was shone impressions?

They were going to show it august 26 but now its coming sept. 9 because they were fixing the pilot or something.
