The son of Head Bound has been performing in a great fashion for last few weeks. He put his campaign back on the winning ways on March 20th, when beating Farley Max by two and a half lengths. He performed even better in the subsequent meeting,
bagging the first prize by five lengths.
The June-10 hound completed his hat-trick at the start of this month. After leaving the third box, he showed great pace. Staying ahead all the way through, he seized the first rank comfortably by four and a quarter lengths. After so many fantastic performances,
the maverick hound is full of confidence.
Other runners in the race are: Markeys Dragon, Newmarket Flyway, Trewmount Snap, Daddy Knowsbest, and Farkland Impact. The 462 metres contest is scheduled to begin at 19:34 GMT. A handy cash prize of 500 is reserved for the ultimate champion.
Markeys Dragon won the British Bred Derby at Newcastle, but this is his appearance at this track. So, despite a handy draw, it will be difficult for him to make a winning move. Daddy Knowsbest is blessed with pace, but it is hard to predict a victory for
him. The black dog was at the bottom of the chart on his previous venture.
Newmarket Flyway is well equipped to punish any mistakes up front. But the black dog might not find any comfort zone today. So, he needs to trust only on his abilities. Farkland Impact made a bright start to the career, but this tougher. An out-of-the-skin
performance is required to bag the big prize.
