Frisby Barney to get back to the winning ways in Peterborough 420 Stakes
Although the draw is a big concern, Frisby Barney is likely to bounce back and take the first prize in the Peterborough 420 Stakes, scheduled to take place at Peterborough on Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Prior to his recent loss at Kinsly, the black dog did
a lot of good work here.
By taking three consecutive wins at Peterborough, the son of Head Bound made a wonderful impression. On March 20th, he bagged the first prize by two and a half lengths. He continued the majestic work, and sealed the first place by five lengths.
It was a tremendous effort by the dashing hound. He always led the proceedings, and gave his rivals no chance whatsoever. Kept doing the great work, the June-10 hound completed his hat-trick at the start of this month.
On April 3th, he was absolutely brilliant. After leaving the third box, he always led the proceedings, and eventually captured the first rank by four and a quarter lengths. After three awesome wins, he lost his rhythm for a while, when finishing third at
Kinsly.
The conditions were tough last time. So, one should not judge him on that. The dashing hound is highly likely to get back to the winning ways on his return to this track. Among the rivals are:
Waspinajar, Thinking Big, Pearls Secret, Dodgy Darren, and Lanesdown Geordy. The 420 metres race is set to begin at 20:45 GMT. The winner will bag the first prize of 150 pounds.
Waspinajar continues to churn out solid efforts on home soil. Thinking Big is progressing well, but needs to stay cautious. There are some pacey types in the crew. As far as Pearls Secret’s chances are concerned, nothing less than the best exit will suffice.
Dodgy Darren had his moments lately, but only A-game would be good enough in this meeting. On the other hand, the recent trials suggest that all is well for Lanesdown Geordy following a tumble. But the blue and white dog is still required to prove his worth
in a race of this nature. We wish the best of luck to all the contestants.
