Frisco or San Francisco?

Is it true that American's consider it naff to refer to San Francisco as 'Frisco' in this day and age?........does this City have any other nicknames?

You NEVER use the "f" word (frisco)  to someone from San Francisco!

It's better to just say "The City". They'll know what you mean!

Yeah i wouldn't call it Frisco.if you wold like to visit a Frisco There is a small mountain town called Frisco here in Colorado.
