Question:

Fritz vs Rybka?

I know that Rybka is stronger than Fritz (though I'm not sure about Fritz 11), but as an amateur planning to use a program for analyzing my game, and to improve my rating, what would be a better program to invest in?

And also what about Chess Master?

  1. If you are an ametuer, there are free gui's to download and very strong free ware that can do the job u want. e.g. fruit, toga, and rybka 1.0 beta.  but if u need to spend bread to feel like u r getting something...chessbase is probably ur best bet...more training features...If you want the strongest engine Rybka 2.3.2a is the one until 3.0 comes out.

  2. Rybka is the strongest chess program On the entire planet.  Its ordered to destory any machine/powerfullest human chess player.  It would win fritz easily.every move rybka moves is distructive.

  3. Definantly chessbase(you can get chessbaselight for free as chessbase is quite expensive) as it has a huge database and built in analysis engine. If you want to add the best analysis engine to that you can get Rybka, although its not needed unless you are 2000+ in rating. Chess Master is good to play against and basic things such as endings, but thats pretty much it.
