Frog Help!!?

I just found a frog in my pool. It has green eyes and brownish black skin. I put it in a small kiddy pool with rocks. There are dead bugs in there but I dont know if he'll eat it. Do the just need live bugs? Please help!! I want to save him.

Hi,

Please do not do as the other person suggested and give him bugs you catch from outside. This is VERY dangerous for your little froggy as they might be carrying pesticides and other diseases.

He might eat the dead bugs but I highly doubt it. Also, the dead bugs might also be carrying some dangerous diseases so if you want to be 100% safe remove them from the pool.

You have to buy live bugs for him, yes, I know, growse! Buy him crickets and mealworms. You can also give him a pinky mouse about once a month. Dont give him a lot though, as they are very fatty.

Some frogs will eat dead bugs and some wont most likely you'll have to buy him some bug to eat at a petstore.

Cricket or mealworms will do also. You could try catching him some food just leave a light on to attract the bugs and then use a net or cup to catch them place them around his head and he should eat them.
