hi, the common frog is not so COMMON anymore due to roads, loss of habitats for buldings and car parks ect. people are filling in ponds. every year there is less and less ponds and habitat for COMMON frogs. the common frog is now NOT COMMON also because of agricultural chemicals. i am a animal lover and wish to help my fav animal. i hav researched them for a year or so now and i wish to breed them and release them in to the wild. do u need a lisence to start ur own frog reserve?. cuz when u bring up frogs from spawn they come back each year and lay some spawn at their place of birth and growth. i am not doing this for money. they WILL be released in the wild NOT sold. Do you think when they are young you could feed them fish food?. cuz i know when they are grown frogs they become carnivores. but when they are young do u think u can feed them fish flakes. i know u can feed them lettuce.

so awnser

can u start ur own reserve without a license at home?

do they eat fish flakes?

  1. Yes- you need a license. All reptiles/amphibians in the UK, are endangered and are protected. Ring your local council maybe?.

  2. in the wild tadpoles eat of plants, they love lettuce and they would eat fish flakes.

you can start a reserve without a licence, aslong as you care for them correctly.

    xox good luck xox

  3. You can collect frogsprawn from a local pond and the keep them in a protected area (preferbly a indoor tank) feed them daphnia  which you can buy in icecubes which then actor like wild prey you cancel also buy bloodworms.Once they are big enough release them back in the pond this method isa useful because there are no predators in tanks so they are more likely to survive

  4. the tadpoles eat flakes but when there frogs they eat worms and bloodworms that you can get from your local fish shop, your frogs will also need some land
