Frogs that make good pets?

I love tree frogs, especially red eyed. I love how they are lanky more then fat. Are there any other types of frogs like that? I don't really care if I can hold them or anything like that, I just like watching them. I don't want ones that get big and fat, and I want ones that will climb. Thanks!

  1. If your really good at keeping animals poison dart frogs are awsome but there more for experts. They lose there poison in captivity but there still extremely hard to care for so youl be in for alot of work. On The plus side they are extraordinarily active and awsome to watch. Another one would be african dwarf frogs. They live completely and are almost as simple to keep as a fish. Because they live in warm water they are highly active. Red eyed tree frogs are great but like the poison dart frogs they aren't that easy or cheap. I no you said you didn't want a frog that would get fat but whites tree frogs are awsome. They will stay thin-ish if you don't over feed them but if you do they will get fat and sit around doing nothing. The possitive side to them is you can handle them alot more than most frogs.

Hope this helps and with the poison dart frogs if you have had muliple frogs before and research them and do not neglect them.

  2. have a look through the caresheets on here see what takes your fancy

as above red eyes aren't easy to care for and one mistake could end up with a dead frog

american green or american grey tree frogs are good so are white lipped, white's, or european green treefrogs

(i dont mean any offence or that u would even think of doing this butplease dont just go grab frogs out of your back yard get from a breeder)

also its nice to see some1 who understands frogs aren't "holding/petting" pets
