For example, I know that a person or thing relating to Cornwall is referred to as Cornish and wondered if there is a similar word relative to Devon.

  1. Devonian sounds like a rock stratum but it is the right adjective

  2. Devonian.

It refers to the people of Devon, and also to the Devonian era which is a period of pre-history from which a lot of fossils have been found in Devon.

  3. The word Devon can also be used as an adjective, e.g. Devon cream teas, a Devon holiday home, the Devon coastline.

  4. Devonian, but if you're colloquially talking about a person affectionally you can also have the lovely"Devonshire dumpling" term!

  5. Devonian

  6. Devon as a county is also (unofficially) known as Devonshire, so you sometimes would get, for example, cheese from Devon known as Devonshire cheese.

    Also, Devonian is used.

    Hope that helps!
