I have to go from JFK to Penn Station. The problem is that I have a lot of luggage and it's really really heavy. I'm travel by myself. Is it easier to take a cab? Or take the Airtrain and then LIRR? I know taking the train is cheaper. Is it easy to carry the luggage from train to train? But I dont feel like carry all my heavy luggage around.

And if I take a cab, how much would it cost?

  1. if you take the airtrain to the howard beach station it is a relatively easy transfer to get the A train which will take you right to penn station.

$7 total fare, which would about cover the tip to a $45 cab ride.

I've never done it, but i think that the Airtrain Lirr Transfer will be the easiest way to go.  that will bring you right into penn Station.

  2. The flat rate cab fare is $45 so if you're carrying like everything you own, it might be worth it

  3. If you have allot of luggage, don't try the train. Take a cab, the flat rate is $45.00.

I wouldn't recommend the subways if you're not familiar with the city, and are a female travelling alone.
