  1. The biggest chinatown is Vancouver, followed by Toronto.

  2. There are ChinaTowns in every major city in Canada. The one in Vancouver is your closest and it is also the 2nd largest in North America after the one in San Francisco. Getting there is about a 2.5 - 3 hour drive north on the I-5 highway.

There is a large ChinaTown in Toronto, Ontario. This is a much longer drive - several days or even weeks if you are doing the tourist kind of trip and stopping to see things. And a lot of the things to see include the Rockies, Selkirks etc. - about a 600 mile drive through mountains.

Perhaps it would be best if you came back and told us which China Town you would prefer and then we can give you better info on what to see.

Thanks for getting back to us.

There is a very good virtual tour at this site

    http://www.vancouverscenes.com/

It covers several parks - you will want to walk around Stanley Park or drive through it. Check out the Lions Gate Bridge too.

I cannot say it better than the tour so I will leave you to check that out.

If you can manage it, take the ferry across to Victoria. If you make it the Tsawassen ferry, you will pass right by the Butchart Gardens - well worth an afternoon.

These two sites have links to many other interesting things to see while up here.

    Enjoy!

  3. There are lots of photo ops in Vancouver...Stanley Park, Grouse Mountain, you can drive up to whistler, Horseshoe bay.......

  4. Do you realize just how big Canada is???? Seattle is a long way from Ontario, and don't look for "Chinatown" on the map.  "Chinatown" usually refers to a district within a large city that has a high concentration of Chinese restaurants and stores selling Chinese merchandise, and a large Chinese population relative to other areas of the city. One can also find a "Little Italy" , a "Little Greek" etc. in cities. Essentially, these areas evolved because early immigrants felt more comfortable living around people who spoke their language, who shared a common cuisine and culture. Now of course they are mostly assimilated into the larger culture but maintain ties to their homeland. Now...if you're travelling from Seattle, the closest, large  "Chinatown" that you will find is in Vancouver, British Columbia. Before you go, check out Vancouver's tourism guide found at www.tourismvancouver.com. Have a nice vacation!

  5. That's kind of far to go when there is one in Vancouver and another in Victoria.  Victoria is probably the smallest Chinatown...

  6. there are tons of parks in vancouver and many interesting places to take photos.Vancouver has canada's biggest chinatowns followed by toronto. There are lots of things to take beautiful pictures of.

  7. You don't need to travel to Ontario for a Chinatown. There's two of them just a few hours north of the border by car (Vancouver+Victoria).
