im living in the UK at the moment. im here on an ancestral visa. my girlfriend lives in Australia. i can stay with them, but the problem is that if im from South Africa, there's no visa that will allow me to work or holiday and work in Australia without needing a qualification of sorts. is there possibly a visa that applies to '' non-chosen countries for entry'' or am i just screwd.

  1. Why are you giving yourself hard time. Just go home and you are stress free.

  2. I am not sure about the Visa thing but my sister was in your position too! (But we are from Zim) She came to the UK exactly the same way as you, with no qualifications. She worked in a supermarket for a little while (mainly night shift, as it pays well) and then put herself through a college course that only took a few months, she still worked as well. Within months she had a recognised qualification and was able to emigrate.

It may take a little while but if you can't get a Visa that is the only way to do it unless you get your girlfriends family to sponsor you but you still may have to have qualifications - I am not sure about that one. Hope that has helped a little!

    Good luck!

  3. the immigration laws in Australia are really strict....check out their website..www.immi.gov.au

  4. You can get a working holiday visa that lasts for a year. You need to get a job offer after that, and maybe you can stay on.
