It's too bad this category has been turned into a site where the discussion is been reduced to a childish rant of "Yes it is!"/"No it isn't!"

We need to use this site to collectively share our thoughts on how to solve this very important problem.  We now know for certain that the so called 'doubt' was totally generated by the censorship by the govt. of the data!  The oil companies jumped in with their false science,and the ignorant people fell for it! Just look at the effort that Dr Jello makes to be at the top in as many categories as possible. How can he get away with it?  He has lots of help from his multiple accounts, and brainless minions that 'hate' intellect, and are comfortable in their self inflicted ignorance.

I can be very serious about something when it involves my future well-being and the well being of my kids and grandson.

I do learn a lot on this site by researching answers and ideas for questions.  That in turn motivates to learn more so I can do a better job.

As an interpreter, I have an educators sensibilities, and I want to share what I learn.  And on this forum I've met others who help motivate me to continue, as they share their knowledge and passion.

Quality, not quantity.  Sometimes I have an orange badge, sometimes not.  It depends what else is going on in my life.  But it's not a goal, or a quest.

I don't care about whatever titles or points Yahoo wants to give me.  I'm just here because I've spent a lot of time researching the science behind global warming, I understand it better than the vast majority of people, and I feel it's a very important issue (possibly the most important threat humans have ever faced) and one which it's worth my time to educate others about.

I guess this question is partly directed at me.

Being a yahoo top answerer in a category, has about as much appeal as getting old. It's merely something that happens after enough time, it's not something worth pursuing or boasting about.

I care about the subject and I try to put out accurate truthful information, in the hopes that someone who actually is interested in expanding their knowledge on the subject will read it.  And occasionally, I simply enjoy pointing out the folly and irrationality of some of the doubter crowd who seem only interested in spreading their political ideology.

Personally I'm motivated by my desire for my children and grandchildren to have the economic opportunities I've had.

Nope,its all about helping and motivate people.

There are still billion of people out there don't even know how bad Earth had suffer from the cause of our civilization's end product!

Yahoo also did a great job to have this type of QnA point award system that motivate people to help people too!
