  1. It tells me that I have eternal life through Jesus Christ, my Savior.

He died for me, He took my place at the cross so that I may have eternal life with Him. It tells me how to live in this world by following Jesus Christ. Through love for the people since this is what Jesus Christ did Himself. Sure there are many stories in the bible from the Old Testament, but they are truly love stories that tell me that God is an Awesome God and that He is faithful and true to those who love Him and follow Him.

  2. Jesus was a revolutionary and a heretic for his time, and yet was a wise and benevolent man. Good deeds do not require membership of religious or earthly authority, and opposition to their injustices and oppression is often noble, and yet working within their framework does not preclude one from being a good person. That's probably the most important lesson I learned - Jesus, as a human, is a good example.

I'm not nominally a Christian (partly a result of that lesson, actually), and I don't think the bible can answer every question people might have about the world, but I do think it serves as an interesting focal point for discussion, given how widely known it is (even if rarely actually read!). Even if all the bible does is get you talking and thinking about the issues of human existence, it's worth keeping around, isn't it?

  3. Dont end up like Job.

  4. Love one another...God Bless

  5. If we repent, we can live again....what are the questions?

You must read Proverbs and pray for wisdom and His spirit..

  6. The Bible is God's Words and it tells me what he thinks and what he says for me to do in my life to have eternal salvation. It tells of how loving he was when he sent his only begotten son to die for my sins so that I will have a chance to make it to heaven. I love the OT because it shows me what God does to people who try and come up against his children. It tells me how to accept the fact that we have to believe by Faith alone. It tells me how to use that Faith. It tells me how to spread the Gospel.

    Hope this Helped   God Bless

  7. Jesus is the ONLY WAY to heaven  :)  Jesus loves you very much

The truth is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to eternal h**l is by believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe this and you are saved!

Please pray now: "Jesus, please forgive me of my sins. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and You rose from the dead. Thank You for eternal life!" You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die. :)

  8. The bible shows that god is a bloodthirsty, tyrranical psychopath that is worthy of contempt, not worship.

  9. Being truthful here. That people were very ignorant at one time in their life.

  10. Following Jesus is definitely worth my while.

  11. There are many lessons in the Bible.  I just read one of the Psalms reminding me that seeking after earthly riches and security is meaningless.  Only God can provide that.  Part of the reason is because I do put a lot of security in money and having a job.

  12. Which part, the New Testament or Old Testament [Tanakh]?

Strange seeking a Christian viewpoint on the Tanakh which was written by Jews for Jews and never intended to be the guidebook for the entire species.

I'm glad you have your own beliefs, if you speak truly and your beliefs don't come from pop culture, parents, school, school chums, comrades, work associates, newspapers, TV, radio, pop music etc. etc. ad nauseam.

The Bible is only one source of beliefs, and a lousy one at that. Yet Pop Culture is probably a million times worse and a billion times more idiotic.
