  1. They have lost a lot of key players:

    Johnny Wilkenson

    Martin Johnson

    Niel Back

Lawrence Delaghllio (hope this spelt correctly)

Scrum half (can't remember his name)

I know rugby is a team sport, but any team will struggle after loosing these caliber of players, especially Johnny.

O ja and their coach has resigned.

  2. You will see a difference now the southern loser Robinson has gone although until they get rid of crispy bacon or whatever is name is there is still going to be a big problem.

  3. Apparently Richard Branson offered to sponsor the shirts of the England Rugby team for the next six nations, but was refused because how could a team with Virgin on thier shirts get f@cked by the other five teams?

  4. If the coach who was able to win it says it is impossible and the win the did get was the worst thing that ever happened, there probably is no magic fix.  It is one thing when the coach who is being fired blames the structure etc. it is another thing if the coach who was succesful and quit while he was ahead says he knew all along, that thats why he quit, and you find out that when the new coach came along, he warned him.

    THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS BROKEN........

  5. they played a kicking game and wilko is out so thats why.

  6. The players looked really unfit in their last few tests. Once the fitness drops, they dont have a chance. At last Dave Reddin has been sacked along with Robbo. That waster of a captain does not help either.

Corrie looks out of his depth at international level. Whenever England are in trouble and the camera focusses on him, he looks totally confused and void of ideas. What inspiration can the other players take from this.

I dont think the players have the confidence to play the game anymore. The lines they were running were good against S.Africa, but the ball was never moved, it was always the straight line, they are scared to try the more ambitious lines as the basic handling skills are c**p. Thats got to be the coaches fault coz these players all perform week in week out for club.

Thw coach should not have played players out of position eother. Sanderson does not play 8, and props should never be played on opposite sides to club positions. CRAZY.

    Rant Over. TA

  7. they were never any good, worse team to be called world champions, and they only won that world cup becuase of jonny " one kick wonder" wilkinson

notice how when he hasnt played england have been clueless

they are surely the worst world champions in any sport

  8. they got too confident for thier own good and tried to play a different style,go back to basics they way they were

  9. when we won the world cup there were a lot of x league players ,coaches, (joe lydon, phil larder)  hooked up with england but sadly they have now released them just goes to prove league is better

  10. Not enough drive as its an English team and all of the greats who made something of them selves including the manager has left.

Some of the older members have past it

  11. Look at the current side & look at the World Cup winning side. Not only is the quality of the players a little poorer, but you can't have such a major change in personnel without it having a -ve effect.

The Captain's gone - he was a huge influence - Wilkinson should claim the "sicknote" moniker off Darren Anderton, and Woodward went sharpish.

You just can't reproduce good form with such upheaval.

It didn't help that Robinson wasn't up to scratch either.

  12. You are experiencing the same problem that the Lions had on tour. Too confident!

  13. all teams do! not after they win da world cup but they do well the 1 year and badly the next.....england can still be competitive in the world cup with the new coach..sa were in a 5 match losing streak earlier on this year and then the coach had a meeting with all previous coaches and sa won the next match against nz who were on 16 wins....if england can do something similar...

  14. The problem is their practice schedule. The former England coach put way too much emphasis on weight training and size. This isn't the NFL here. Its not all about the big hits and bone crushing trucks. They need to practice most fundamentals and execution.

  15. Like the football boys of 1966 they had an exceptional team that all came together at the right time..but they were all ageing and that team retired and there was no one to replace them. Just like the boys of 66 England may never win the world cup again.
