  2. Edwards presents YAHOSHUA as vindictive, and taking pleasure in the pain of the wicked, where scripture is clear that He does not.  Thus the entire scene is a lie.

  3. We have a loving God who loves to forgive

  4. "The God that holds you over the pit of h**l, much as one holds a spider or some loathsome insect over the fire, abhors you, and is dreadfully provoked. His wrath towards you burns like fire; he looks upon you as worthy of nothing else but to be cast into the fire. He is of purer eyes than to bear you in his sight; you are ten thousand times as abominable in his eyes as the most hateful, venomous serpent is in ours. "

He compares sinners to spiders and insects and says that God has much more disdain for sinners than we have for the most loathesome creatures. He also uses the images of  Ã¢Â€Âœblack clouds”, “fiery floods”, “great waters” and a "bent bow with an arrow" to describe God's wrath.

  5. I agree with kay d we have a forgiving God
