From solana beach to fullerton?

i want to find out if there were any other methods of getting from solana beach to fullerton other than amtrak. i am currently a student at ucsd and i usually take the mts route 101 to solana beach, take the amtrak, and get off at fullerton. however, it is a bit time consuming... is there any other option of getting from ucsd to fullerton/santa fe springs/norwalk area? using public transportation? basically- anything other than amtrak?

There is Greyhound Bus Lines, making a transfer in Los Angeles, but I think you would be safer staying with Amtrak.

I would suggest taking Amtrak from you starting point into Fullerton and then catching the Metrolink train into the Santa Fe Springs station. That is mostly the way to go and the easiest, unless you own a vehicle and drive.
