Question:

From spain, through france to italy next month?

Hi,

Next month i want to travel over 2.5 weeks from valencia, barcelona,nice, pisa, venice, florence ,rome, sicilly

what do you think is the best way to do this and the cheapest? I really have no idea on what to do so all help is really appreciated.

  1. Bus is the cheapest, but trains are faster and more pleasant.

    If you are traveling alone, hostels are somewhat cheaper than 2-3 star hotels, but if you don't want to stay in hostels you should have no problem finding reasonably priced hotels in all of those places except Venice.

    You can't see all of those places in 2.5 weeks in any meaningful way.  You will spend much of your time just going from place to place, and going to and from hotels.  At the very least drop Valencia and Sicily.


  2. Train, with student pass/ticket. You buy a all-line ticket, available for 1 eek/month (you choose) and you can go anywhere in the European Union, at anytime, place, or day. I did it last summer and it's great, especially if you have a friend with you!
