There's a lot of people in America, and Cops shows the MOST outrageous videos.  Most instances are not like this.  Jerry Springer isn't even real.

I like watching cops because I like to see dirt bags get what they deserve. I see so many people get away with stuff that it is good to see something like that.

Have you ever heard of "acting"?  They get paid to act like jerks!  It is a cheap way to avoid expensive actors.

My answer is yes; N America has its share of folks such as those you saw on these shows (don't forget the Maury show!)... but it also has 20/20, 60 Minutes, Oprah, etc...

Considering the peopulation of the US itself, the people on Cops and Springer are not the majority, and the number of "weirdos" is probably similar, proportionately per population, around the globe and across cultures. I believe it's the  normal anomaly of human nature!

But many countries would be too concerned about giving the wrong impression to the outside world to allow these shows to exist or be exported as entertainment... The fact that these shows are available is a testament to openness and honesty (even if it's embarrassing).

Many countries prefer to guard their international image more closely, and maintain patriotism by protecting their own people from what sometimes are the ugly truths of reality.

There is no perfect nation. There is no perfect person.

Unfortunately its full of weirdos. Jerry Springer is an entertainment show only. At first when u watch it, it seems like its real people doing real things, but after watching it for years u will get to learn that it is staged. They have had a murder on the show and the show was charged. (A FEW YEARS AGO)

Cops is also another show that takes place in the US. Its a action show, but, a lot of what u c happens there anyways and worse.

I don't think those shows are any of the reason the US is like it is. It is just showing how it is. I think by taking out prayer and religion out of schools is part of the problem in my opinion. And I also feel like if they would punish a lot harder in the jail/prisons it would help too. Some people do stuff just so they can go to jail because they have shelter and food.
