From what i heard GSP says that if he dominates the welterweight class he will move up to face anderson silva?

Well if he actually said "if i dominate the welterweight class" it is going to be a long time before he moves up. Because although he is considered the best welterweight in the UFC, he has a grand total of zero title defenses. And his next opponent is the undefeated Jon Fitch. So he is not exactly starting it out very easy. And there are still some great welterweights that could challenge him for the belt. Thiago Alves, Marcus Davis, and he could possibly face Matt Hughes again if Hughes puts together 3 good fights. Plus there is talk of other fighters moving to the welterweight class. Some of those fighters include Sean Sherk, Rich Franklin, Nate Marquardt, and even Wanderlei Silva who would be a HUGE welterweight.

So there are a lot of people that he could go through before he moves up a class. If he were to move up and try to challenge Anderson Silva, he could have a chance. Personally I think he could take Silva down and ground and pound him into a win. IDK though that fight would probably be at least 2 years away if it ever happens and a lot can happen in 2 years.

If GSP dominates the division he would have no choice but to move up and fight Anderson Silva because he would have nothing else to prove in his class.

I think Anderson would be too much for GSP but fun match either way.

If Anderson Silva keeps destroying the compition he might be moving up himself.

BTW, Travis lutter did not almost beat Anderson Silva. He had some good moves but never once even came close to tapping out Silva. If he came so close to beating him the UFC would have never of cut him!
