Well, I know where the money is physically produced and a central bank supplies the nation's money.

When I got my salary from my boss, who had given that money to him? And to him? And to..? :) "Who" is at the end of the chain?

I have a clue, but I'm curious about your opinions!

  1. the money is printed at the us mint. they get their money into circulation through bank accounts and lending to banks. the banks then lend their money to people, only keeping a fraction of what the lend out. this is called the money multiplier. at some point, your boss is getting money to pay you from the company bank account which is funded by people paying money which is coming from loans etc etc.
