  1. Yes, anywhere inside or outside of your side of the court, but not over the net in your opponent’s air space.

    The OH usually gets assigned to position 4 and will be the major force (sometimes the last hitting resource when MH is out of the play) of offense, so that OH should be very consistent and be always available at the spot where the setter expects him/her to be.


  2. an outside can attack the ball from anywhere if he is in front row. from back row he can attack the ball only from behind the ten foot line. usually outside hitters hit the sets that go to the sides of the net, although there are exceptions, such as an X.
