  2. they are grown on a plant called---Murraya koenigi

  3. The scientific name of the plant is =Murraya koenigii=

The Curry Tree or Curry-leaf Tree (Murraya koenigii; syn. Bergera koenigii, Chalcas koenigii) is a tropical to sub-tropical tree in the family Rutaceae, which is native to India.

  4. I bought a "curry leaf plant" at a local garden centre for £2 - it grows in a ball shape, the leaves are quite small - a bit like rosemary leaves, they are a pale dusty looking green and release an *amazing* curry smell when released.

You probably won't find this plant at your average Homebase / B&Q store, most likely found in a big garden centre.

  5. Curry leaves  are obtained from the the Curry Tree or Curry-leaf Tree.It isn't a plant, its a sub-tropical tree native to India.

It is a small tree, growing 4-6 m tall. The leaves are used as a herb and also for other purposes..like an anti diabetic], antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory.Hope that helps.

  6. the  curry leaf plant
