  1. In general, the answer is what is known as the coding strand of DNA.  Since DNA is double stranded, the mRNA copied from the coding strand is identical to the opposing strand of DNA.  However, it's not quite that simple.  mRNA is often goes through several modifications before protein is translated from it.  Some sequences known as introns are "cut out", leaving only the exons, which are "linked together" to form the final mRNA sequence.  A poly-a tail is then added to the 3' end.  So mRNA is rarely complimentary to the coding strand.

    A pairs with T

    G pairs with C

  2. You have to provide the mRNA sequence in order for anyone to answer this question.

    The mRNA will have bases AUCG in some arrangement.  The DNA compliment will follow the base pairing rules:

    A=U/T (Uracil is in RNA while Thymine is in DNA)

    C=G

    So, if your mRNA strand is:

    CCGAUUAGC

    Then the DNA compliment would be:

    GGCTAATCG
