Front Crawl- Muscles worked

Does the front crawl works the biceps? And can if make you grow taller?

  1. I am a swimmer so i basicaly know wich muscles the front crawl use. The triceps are used for that arm mothion and not the biseps (not at all). the quadriceps are used a lot in the flutter kick to keep your legs strait.  Oh and by the way, i dont think swimming will make you taller but who knows.  I am 14 and i measure 5foot 10.


  2. Depending on your style of stroke (high or low elbow pull), it can work lats (and most of your back), triceps, biceps, core (abs and obliques), quads, hamstrings, and calf muscles.

    It's essentially a full body workout, although the best full body workout stroke would probably be butterfly. The only problem is, you can't sustain butterfly as long.

  3. It can't make you taller. It can work the biceps, but generally works the lats and the upper triceps more.
