Question:

Front Load Driving Regulations?

by  |  earlier

0 LIKES UnLike

My husband drives a front load garbage truck. We live in the southern part of Alabama and it gets pretty hot down here. Right now it isn't that bad, however if you know front load trucks the seat sits directly over the engine. He is working with no working A/C. The truck gets about 110 degrees easily during the day. What are the regulations on this? He has been trying to get this fixed before our daily temperatures reach 100 degrees (which would be probably 130 degrees in the truck). Any help would be grateful!!!!

  1. Contact osha and check what and if there are any regulations that are in place to help and good luck........

    http://www.osha.gov/index.html

  2. I know of no Federal requirements that would apply.

If the company won't perform proper upkeep on the trucks,   he should consider finding a company that does.

  3. Tell him to find another employer, or go ahead and stick with it, risk getting heat stroke, fall out of the truck get injured and file a worker's comp claim.

  4. I dont think there is any rules for that just so the truck passes safety inspections
