Question:

Front Wheel Drive vs All Wheel Drive - need advice?

I get the difference between the two, but wondering if I really need to go with AWD. It costs more and impacts gas mileage.

I'm going car shopping this weekend, leaning towards the Nissan Rogue. I live in the North East so we do have weather where AWL will come in handy, but do we have enough weather and does it make that much of a difference.

thoughts??

Thanks!

  1. I have an AWD Subaru, and the difference is noticible. It just gives you so much more usable grip and safety on the roads. Definatly pick it, you dont "need" it but you will love having it.

  2. I spin tires and get torque steer in the rain with a 160hp FWD car. I'd go for the AWD if I thought I'd be seeing snow.
