Front and back boardslides?

Question

Anybody else think it's weird how they're defined...front boards involve turning your back towards the bottom of the rail or box while back boards involve turning your front towards the bottom? Or is it just me...

its just you cuz when u do a backside board ur APROACHING the rail with ur back facing the rail. and frontside boards is when u APROACH the rail with ur front of the body (chest, face, etc)..its all about the approach. When ur in the air doing like a back 360 ur throwing ur back around so ur blind side. when u front 360 u throw ur torso area so u can c. its all confusing but this way it makes way more sense than ifa backside was called a frontside
