Question:

Front double somersault off of springboard?

After I learned how to do a double on 1M, i smacked three times and did three of them right

I have plenty of time, but i accidentally come out too early

now, i am scared to do them at all

i am fine doing 1 1/2's, but when it comes to a double, there is so much going on and so much to think about that i forget to hold on to my tuck long enough, and when i come out, i smack harder than i ever have, even on 3M

I was wondering if you had any advice, and if there is any way that i could give myself the mental strength to do it again

please don't give rude comments, i actually need the help

  1. keep your eyes open so you know where to come out.

    also.. have your coach call you out.

    you can also think "it's just like front 1 and 1/2s. just and extra 1/2. just hang on a little longer. i can do this!"

  2. You can do "lead ups" to the 3m board by trying the dive on the 1m, so you don't have as far to go to hit the water.  You have to get your body and mind into a "groove" by just doing the dive over and over.  You know you can do it, so just keep trying.  Good luck!
