Front loader spews water out of the detergent draw

I recently purchased a Whirlpool WFS107AW-7.5Kg front load washer and its started spewing water out of the detergent draw during the wash cycle. I use liquid detergent and have opened up the filter which was clean. I'm at loss as to what might be causing this?

try taking out the drawer to clean it, sometimes powder can cause a blockage, especially if the machine is second hand or not been used for a while. if that is not the problem contact the manufacturer.

is the drawer fully shut?

i have just got rid of a hotpoint, but if the drawer was slightly open, it leaked.

else, there might be a blockage between the drawer and the drum, or a pipe might be loose inside.

if it is new(ish), it should be fixed under warranty

could there be something blocking the flow from the draw to the drum?

If it's a new machine, surely you still have warranty on it, so best call a pro to fix it :)
