Front speaker problem

Question

today i noticed that when i plug in my ipod threw my AUX port the front speakers dont work but the rear ones do...when i switch the head unit from aux to cd all speaker work? maybe i have a wrong setting?

my head unit is a Sony Xplod CDX-GT310

sounds like a problem with the line in, either the wire has a short, of the pins that connect to line in are not touching the connector right.

try a new wire to the aux input.
