I have a pomeranian, she weights about 10lbs and around 12yrs old, I put frontline on her last night (on the back of her neck), this morning I woke up and she acted as if she was about to die. I know its the frontline bc I have put it on her before and she has had bad reactions to it but its never been this bad, normally she just doesnt even for maybe a day or two. Today, she wouldnt move, wouldnt open her eyes, didnt respond to her name, wouldnt eat/drink anything, she acted like that until about 2 this afternoon, she still isnt getting up and walking but shes lifting her head and looking around, has anyone else had this type of reaction before?

  1. If she has had bad reactions before i don't think you should have continues using the products. There are other flea and tick products available that you could try using. And being 12 years old I would be more cautious about medications in general. I hope you took her to the vet immediately.

If only not eating for a day or two is the only reaction that she had i could see why the vet said to wait it out. It may be something not related to the frontline, it could be something else and just be a coincidence. Because of the age of your dog, i'd make sure the vet does some bloodwork. Then go from there with what your vet finds out from the bloodwork. Good luck!
