From experience Revolution works the best.  It also kills worms.

Nope... no free trails out there.

I like Frontline Plus, but different areas seem to have different success rate with different products. Fleas become immune to the active ingredient in certain area and then you have to switch.

You can buy Capstar and Frontline Plus here which will definitely kill all the fleas on your cat and prevent re-infestation.

Use the Capstar right away. It will kill all fleas on your cat with in an hour. It is imperative that you do not skip this. Frontline Plus is only effective if the flea bites the cat. Fleas have a 3 week lifespan and only feed for a few days of that three weeks, so you must use Capstar to kill all live fleas on your cat. Check to see if either of these products have had recalls- just punch in "recalls" and there's a site that lists them all- go to veterinarian medicine - one of two had a big recall - the site will even tell you why- Revolution is still too new and there is little regulation on veterinarian medicines and treatments and the vets get incentives for many of these new products- check em out before you use them
