Frost on my heat pump

Question

I've never had a heat pump before and I am wondering is there supposed to be so much frost on the "fins"? It has been heating for a couple months with our outside temps running in the 20 to 40 dogree range. House is set at 65. I just worried if it builds up too much it will fry the pump. Any info. wouuld be helpful. Thanks.
