Frozen cursor on toshiba laptop?

every time i boot up my computer the cursor is frozen in the middle and will not move.i've tried a system restore,all the fn keys,and unlocking the touchpad.i really hope its not a virus and need help asap! thanx!

Toshiba has a bad rep for Touchpads. Plug in a Mouse using the USB and see if it works and if not then it might be the touchpad that has gone
