Okay last summer we had a minor fruit fly infestation and a brown fly infestation...my brother and my ex always used to party and leave beer bottle everywhere. We got rid of all the infestations and this place is very clean and smells nice and everything...but the fruit flies will not leave! Every time I even leave a bottle of orange juice out...for like 30 mins..they will just swarm it because there is no food for them to get at anywhere in the house. I am so sick of this. Do they ever go away? they are even starting to attack my clothes and towels now because they like the detergerent or something! I hate them! We even made flame throwers to kill them, and bought dozens of cleaners to keep this place nice and spotless but still they refuse to leave! How on earth do I get these things out of my house??!!

  1. To get rid of pesky fruit flies, take a small glass, fill it 1/2' with Apple Cider Vinegar and 2 drops of dish washing liquid; mix well. You will find those flies drawn to the cup and gone forever!

  2. Fill a bowl full of vinegar (the apple kind preferably), for every cup of vinegar put in a cup of sugar and then put plastic wrap or tinfoil over it and poke holes in it.

They'll go in the holes and get stuck, and drown.

It REALLY works, we had to do it a little while ago.

  3. Ha, I use my husband's left-over Bud Light to attract flies of all kinds to crawl into a one-way jar they can't get out of.  Every morning I throw away at least 30 drowned flies.  They are attracted to the sugars in the beer.  My own beer, a South American brand, doesn't attract flies like Bud Light does.
