Fruit Ninja announced for Kinect, Zone of the Enders & Metal Gear Solid update, new God of War game rumoured
As is the case every time the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is at hand, gaming news comes thick and fast with release dates, rumours and confirmations all coming out in what can only be described as organised chaos.
For those people who are fans of, and get a thrill out of cutting up pieces of, fruit while they fly the air, the announcement of a Fruit Ninja game for the Kinect has to have been the happiest moment of their life.
The game is expected to be revealed at Microsoft’s E3 press conference with USA Today sharing the news beforehand. Fruit Ninja is one of the most downloaded video game applications on smart phones, especially phones that use Android and iOS.
The largest screen players could play the game with was on the Apple iPad, yet when the game eventually releases on the Kinect one can be sure it will take the game to a whole new dimension. One can only wonder how long it will take for an Angry Birds title
to make its way onto the Kinect.
Meanwhile the Konami has announced that their High Definition collections of Zone of the Enders and Metal Gear Solid will also be available for download via the PlayStation Store.
The collections were originally thought to be sold as hard copies, yet Konami’s announcement changed all of that. The rumours however, were as a result of Konami’s own making, as the publisher only unveiled the collection under a week ago, without commenting
on any digital release.
The Zone of the Enders collection will feature the original game as well as Zone of the Enders: the 2nd Runner and is expected for a release date sometime next year.
Metal Gear Solid fans on the other hand, will not have to wait as long as Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and the PlayStation Portable title, Metal Gear Solid: Peace walker will be bundled together for HD remakes and
released later on this year.
Lastly, fans of the God of War series have something to get excited about as rumours have emerged that Sony may bring the series back to life when they draw the curtains for their E3 conference.
While Sony has neither denied or confirmed the reports, one cannot be too certain whether or not the rumours are substantiated as God of War 3 did a fine job of tying up all the loose ends and concluding the game’s vengeance driven protagonist, Kratos.
However, one can expect to emerge from the Sony press conference with more concrete news.
