I am moving back into my dorm soon, and I thought maybe taking fruit to school with me would be a good, quick, healthy snack. Plus, when I must eat a meal outside the cafeteria's hours, I need a lot of vegetables. However, I need produce that will keep between weekly grocery trips.
How long do different kinds of fruits keep? Which ones should I eat immediately, and which ones can I save for the end of the week?
If I must eat a meal outside cafeteria hours, what vegetables will keep for a fairly long time after I open them? I can't really eat salad because that will go bad within a day after it is opened.
