  1. I live in SE Arizona.  You should contact our state's extension office; each county can give you more specifics.

I live in Cochise County at 4600;. I am a Master Gardener for my extension office and right now we are fielding lots of questions about peaches and plums.

I can grow peaches, plums, apples, nectarines, cherries, figs.  I also can grow straberries and raspberries.  I have to make sure the pH is right though, as my blueberries require special attention.

Please look over the link, find your county and email a Master Gardener there!

  2. Pomegranates are good since it is drought tolerant.

  3. Melons are the easiest to grow.

The Warmer the weather the sweeter they are!

I grow watermelons here every year

  4. I live in Arizona and have tried to grow several fruits. I can say with certainty that citrus fruits grow the best in Arizona.

You shouldn't have a hard time growing oranges and lemons. While I know several people who have had success growing fruits such as peaches, plums, figs, etc in Arizona, citrus is definitely the easiest way to go with such a warm climate.
