How does the Sohma Family curse end? I mean how do you get rid of it?

In a way, Tohru helps some of the Sohma family members, and then begin distancing themselves from Akira. What really does it, though, is that for the curse to be broken, the "cat" from the zodiac must be loved. That's one aspect, I believe, but also the "bond between god and the animals of the zodiac" must be broken.

takaya-sensi didn't really go into it, but i'm pretty sure it was just that the zodiac blood bond eventually got weaker and weaker, and eventually broke.... also in the end of the series, they discuss how the curse came to be, (u might not understand it if u haven't read it) and millions of years ago, "god" basicly "bounded" the animals (who we know as the zodiac) by blood, so even when the animals died, they would sorta "reincarnate" and still have an everlasting banquet with god forever.... also, it could be that "god" realized that the banquet should end...

EXACTLY how it was broken, is uncertain, but i belive this is really close...
