Frustrated Jaroslav Plasil hits out at woeful performance  – Ligue 1 news
Czech international, Jaroslav Plasil has hit out at FC Girondins de Bordeaux’s recent below par performances in the Ligue 1 that have put the club in the relegation zone in the 2011/2012 Ligue 1 standings.
The Aquitaine club’s captain has asked his teammates to “shut up and work” following a 3-0 thrashing at the hands of OGC Nice on Saturday in week 10 of the 2011/2012 Ligue 1. the latest defeat now takes the club’s winless run to six games and Les Girondins
have picked just three points in the last six Ligue 1 outings.
Clearly frustrated at how his side has played since the beginning of the season, the midfielder has asked his players to do less talking and show their worth to the team.
While talking to the media, the defensive midfielder admitted that it is very sad to see people suffering because of the team’s woeful performances.
“We only talk, and don’t deliver. So we have to shut up and work. It’s easy to talk. We have to be ready – mentally – for the fight and I don’t get the impression that we are. However, we are right in the relegation table,” said a furious Plasil who is clearly
not happy at the attitude of his players.
The Czech was an integral part of the Bordeaux side that lifted the Championelle in the 2008/09 season and in his first reign as captain of Bordeaux, Plasil is yet to see a good winning performance from his side.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Francis-c13946 Gillot’s side have won just once in the league so far. In week 4 of the Championnat, Les Girondins beat Valenciennes -2 and since then, winning is the hardest thing for the club.
Next week, Bordeaux will play Brest at home and last week’s performance would certainly not bode well for the under pressure side.
Plasil while talking about last week’s game, said that the team put up a poor showing in the first half. However, he admitted that though the team came to life in the second half, it was a little too late for the side and the third goal killed the game.
Plasil has now asked his players to take full responsibility of the club’s troubles and perform well in the next week’s encounter against Stade Brestois.
