  1. First of all not everybody is going to be taking calculus in eighth grade.  That is an unreasonable expectation, so don't buy into it.  I know college students that struggle with calculus.  Just do fun things that you won't be able to do when school starts like read a book for fun, or watch a stack of movies.  Go swimming and play golf or some kind of outdoor activity.  Have fun in school, and remember that expectations are good but make them fit you.  The real pressure should not begin until high school, and then all you can do is your best.

  2. I'm going into a selective school myself and my only piece of advice is to do your best and stop worrying. If you teachers give you positive feedback you shouldn't stress. Put as much effort as you can into your school work. As for your summer just try to relax and have fun. Do the things you enjoy.

  3. smarts shmarts, its eighth grade, calculus? ur already in honors classes, does it really matter if ur the smartest one in the grade? u just sound stuck up and looking for a way to down size ppl around u to me.

  4. STUDY! thats all i did with free time other than hanging with friends. and look where i am. going to a college! but to make the rest of your summer last, dont sleep until 11am or later like i did.try to get up at 8 and it will give you a full day and it will help gettign up on school days

  5. i think that you should believe in yourself. it doesnt need to be purely confidence but you could also think that it just like ordinary lessons. your not taking an exam about calculus directly, are you? so dont feel so frustrated about it. calculus is nice especially you love math. its just easy if your interested. you just do your thing, study and then you could have a good outcome.

you could do many things for the last days that is left in your summer vacation. you could go outdoor funs like swimming, playing sports or anything that you pleased to do. give it your best shot like its as if its the end of everything(of course it really is the end of your summer vacation).
