I work with someone thats in a position where she needs to be personable with fellow employees. Shes rude, and makes facial expressions when shes bothered by them coming to her for help. Management knows the way she is, but has yet to do anything about it. I end up helping those employees that she turns her back on and then she ends up getting mad when I do help them. I feel like quitting, but not sure if I should.

  1. If you've spoken with management  and nothing has changed, then that is your answer:  they are not going to ask her to change her behavior.

Why do you help someone that she's supposed to help?  Don't do it.....let her inadequacy show.  Her poor attitude is no reflection on you.  Just do your own job.

  2. since you are picking up the slack for her, it wouldn't be overstepping your boundaries to talk with her about this.  let her know how you feel.  she may not even know she's being that way.

  3. Don't quit. My girlfriends dad is my boss. Everyone here hates me for it. But who cares? Don't let other people get to you. Stick with your job, there are always going to be those people no matter where you work.

  4. Her ethnicity should have no bearing on her behavior and she is taking full advantage of her tenure and her race and she is now a hopeless bully because no one is discipline her. She is being abusive in the workplace and harassing both of which are illegal and i the company is unwilling to do anything to stop her you can take her to court for harassment in the workplace and verbal abuse. You can also sue the company, it is called reverse racism; they go against other people because they favor her race.

  5. d**n, do you work for my previous employer???   This sounds exactly like a situation that I was going through where management just ignored my complaints about a fellow employees explosive temper and homophobic/racist remarks.   I ended up quitting and then apparently the person who ended up replacing me ended up quitting too and the next one and then the next one.   Crazy.    She's probably related to someone in Management or has some kind of relationship with someone there for them to be protecting her.   Does your company have a "whistle blower" system where you can annonymously go higher up (even higher than management) to register a complaint?   If so, you might want to try that.   Good luck!
