Ft Irwin house painting policies?

Me, my husband, and daughter are PCSing to Ft Irwin. We've always lived in an apt off of post, but it is obviously not worth it here. I was just wondering since on the Ft Irwin website doesn't cover policies once you move in. Are you allowed to paint any rooms? And other housing policies? Thank you.

  1. Typically, you can paint any way you want - with the understanding that you are responsible to return the quarters to the condition of move-in when you move out.

  2. As the gentlemen before me stated, you can generally paint your inside walls any color you want, as long as you return the place to the color it's been before by the time you move out. The posts usually have strict regulations concerning the outside of the houses, such as landscaping and the likes, but the housing office will provide you with a bible of regulations...

    Good luck!

  3. You need to ask the housing office this question. Some places will allow it after living there for a certain amount of time 2+ years others don't care how long you live there, the place must be the same color it started out as. Only the housing office can answer your question.
