Ft. Lauderdale - where are some good & cheap places to eat in the area?

Question

is there anywhere in Las Olas that is inexpensive but good? We love all cuisines - no preference but we prefer healthy to some extent - so no McDonalds or Fried Chicken.

The Samba room is a great hot spot right on Las Olas Blvd. Live music and a cheap happy hour. Mojitos galore!!!

My favorite restaurant on Las Olas is Cafe Blue. It's a small place with really good Mediterranean food. You can get various dips and salads for a lighter fare, and they also have excellent seafood, lamb and pasta entrees. It is somewhat inexpensive, as far as Las Olas goes, and it has a unique, comfortable atmosphere. Enjoy!

Mangoes is very popular & delicious.  There is also Big City Tarvern.

My favorite place is about a mile away from Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale's Riverfront area.  It's a little restaurant called Creolina's.  It's delicious!  They serve Cajun cuisine - seafoods, jambalaya, fried oysters & the most amazing bananas foster for dessert!  

Across the street is Tarpon Bends which also has good food at a reasonable price.  But go early, it becomes a bar/nightclub at night.

Probably one of the nicest things about Las Olas is that you can stroll the street & check out all the restaurants.  They always have the menus out front so you can decide that night what you want to eat.  There is a crepe restaurant (I can't remember the name...) that is very yummy too.

A mile north of Las Olas, thi food in a place called Sukothi (Spelling?).  It is in the gateway shops, aproximatly 1800 East Sunrise Blvd.  Very good, quick, good value.

There is a place called Mangos at Las Olas that is reallllllly good.  Also, on the beach there is a place called Taverna Opa that has really great greek food and it is a fun atmosphere at night.
