Fu Yuanhui wins Women’s 100m back-stroke crown: Day one - 2011 Chinese Long Course Nationals
Day one of the 2011 Chinese Long Course Nationals saw several matchless swims as Fu Yuanhui won the Women’s 100m back-stroke title in Rizhao, China, on Thursday, September 22. Sun Yang won the Men’s 200m freestyle crown, while Li Xuanxu captured the Women’s
400m Individual Medley title. Fu Yuanhui grabbed Women’s 100m back-stroke crown, whereas, Zhu Jiani secured gold medal in the Women’s 200m butterfly race.
Initially, Fu Yuanhui powered the wall in 1 minute and 00.68 seconds to win the Women’s 100m back-stroke title. In the corresponding race, Zhao Jing earned silver medal with a striking mark of 1 minute and 00.70 seconds, while Zhao Jing settled for bronze
with an impressive mark of 1 minute and 00.73 seconds.
Sun Yang topped the Men’s 200m freestyle race with a winning time of 1 minute and 45.53 seconds. After the race, Yang said Xinhua, “I have not trained systematically since the worlds. I'm happy with the results, no matter it's good or bad. I hope I can start
my steps toward the London Olympic Games through this meet.”
In the corresponding race, Li Yunqi was placed second in a time of 1 minute and 47.71 seconds, whereas, Zhang Zhongchao settled in third in a time of 1 minute and 48.75 seconds.
Li Xuanxu captured the Women's 400 Individual Medley crown on the podium by posting a winning mark of 4 minutes and 37.48 seconds. Jiao Liuyang finished second in a time of 4 minutes and 39.72 seconds, while Zhu Xiaoya earned third spot with a mark of 4
minutes and 39.83 seconds.
In addition, the Women’s 200m butterfly title was taken over by Zhu Jiani with an inspiring mark of 2 minutes and 07.89 seconds. Gong Jie earned silver with a time of 2 minutes and 08.16 seconds, while Li Tingtin secured bronze medal on the podium by posting
a matchless time of 2 minutes and 08.47 seconds.
Liu Xiaoyo hit the wall in 31.55 seconds to win the Women's 50m breast-stroke title. Zhao Jin was placed second with a time of 31.72 seconds, while Suo Ran settled third in a time of 32.01 seconds.
Moreover, Cheng Feiyi won the Men’s 100m back-stroke title with a winning mark of 54.42 seconds. Sun Xiaolei finished second in a time of 54.89 seconds, while He Jianbing earned third spot in a time of 55.10 seconds.
Furthermore, Ma Xiang topped the Men’s 100m breast-stroke race with a triumphant mark of 1 minute and 01.33 seconds. Lai Zhongjin finished second in a time of 1 minute and 01.49 seconds, whereas, Xie Zhi settled third in a time of 1 minute and 01.56 seconds.
