Fuchs added that Schalke is a strong unit and the players are united. He feels that the display this season has shown that the side plays with great passion and devotion.
“I think we’re the best team in the Bundesliga at the moment in terms of turning games round. It’s all part and parcel of the team. We’ve got a great set of lads who share the same aims. Our performances on the pitch show the determination and incredible spirit in the team. It’s great fun playing with the group week after week,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The Austrian international is confident that his side can progress in the UEFA Europa League if they continue to play the way they have been recently. He stated that Schalke can even finish in third place given there is only a one-point gap between his side and Borussia Monchengladbach.
“We can focus on preparing for the next opponent as we’ve only got one game this week. The main thing in the run-in is to gather your strength for the Bundesliga and the Europa League,” he concluded.
