I am really curious about this, why is it that small country's (sq miles not financially or population) are able to organize strikes when they feel they are unfairly being OVERCHARGED and we AMERICANS cant?

-Do yo think it is that we(AMERICANS) are all to busy to even think about it because our economy demands so much of us on a daily basis?

-Maybe the vast majority(AMERICANS) just doesn't mind paying HIGH fuel prices?

-Do you think people(AMERICANS) think it would not help anything if we GOT ORGANIZED AND STARTED A STRIKE ALL OVER THE USA??????

-Or maybe they(AMERICANS) think its JUST NOT POSSIBLE TO ORGANIZE IT?

DON'T FORGET THE MILLION MAN MARCH AND I ONCE SAW A MOVIE CALLED A DAY WITHOUT A MEXICAN OR SOMETHING OR OTHER... lol this is just an idea i want some points of view.

WE CAN GET ORGANIZED.... IS MY BELIEF. BUT I DON'T WANNA GET SHOT IN THE HEAD FOR TRYING TO CHANGE THINGS...

  1. why no "Fuel Strike"

because we know better than to cut off our nose to spite our face

it would hurt our economy - and that's about it.

    -------------------

I am sorta curious to hear why you think a fuel strike might bring down gas prices !

  2. Who would you strike against ?

  3. This is just silly and a waste of time., but hey if you have nothing better to do then go for it.  Bush isn't the one responsible for the gas prices and  getting rid of him won't change anything. You can always ride your bike or take the train or bus, nobody is stopping you from that.  As for me well. I happen to have a life that I enjoy, so I don't need to get on the whats the latest protest bandwagon and stand on street corners holding signs. I often wonder about these people. Don't they have jobs, families, lives. If they want to take time to do something good for society, then they should  volonteer their time at a homeless shelter, a hospital, working with children or the elderly.

I mean come on, Nobody is forcing you to buy the gas!

  4. Its not really plausible to boycott a fuel inherent to the American economy. And no one has impeached the president because there are no grounds. Popularity isn't the standard for impeachment. Otherwise Hoover would have been gone.

  5. Fuel strike?

    Why?

    How?

When he's formerly was an oil man.

    In the oil business.

    Still trying to strike oil.

    Luke 6.39-40,41-45,46-49

    What do you think?

  6. usa= prozac nation, a sleepy alienated sheep's nation, that's why

  7. I understand what you're saying, but striking is not always the best answer. You're not only going to have a hard time finding followers, but you're going to come up against alot of opposition too. Both of the candidates for president McCain and Obama are looking for more cleaner and cheaper ways to reduce gas prices and are looking for other ways of energy too, so I think it would just be best to wait it out.

  8. Don't use gasoline for one day a week.

Is a simple boycott technique that can be expanded to any time or amount that you wish.

If a citizen did not purchase fuel for one day a week, then others joined in, there would be a change. A non violent ,peaceful economic message would be sent to the ones that are responsible.

The president may have some influence over gas stuff, without the co operation of the congress and senate, the president is almost powerless to do anything.

President Bush is not responsible for high or higher gas prices, we all are.
