Fuel TV to televise half-hour inaugural ‘The Ultimate Fighter 15’ show on Friday – UFC news
Ultimate Fighting Championship is all set to kick off the 15th episode of its reality TV series, ‘The Ultimate Fighter’. In addition, it will hold an introductory episode of the show on Friday March 2, 2012, which will be on aired by Fuel TV and will feature
32 participants, 2 coaches, Dana White, and the new host Jon Anik.
UFC has been successfully carrying out these reality TV shows since 2005. The pattern of the show has two coaches, mostly prolific UFC brawlers, each having 16 men under his supervision. These coaches are responsible to train their men for the knockout brawls.
The last two men from each side collide for the UFC contract, which means the winner of the bout becomes a part of UFC roster. Men like Diego Sanchez and Forrest Griffin have received enormous career exposure through these shows. The Friday night exclusive
half hour insight show will feature all the participants and will Urijah Faber and Dominick Cruz as coaches.
Dominick and Urijah are top ranked bantamweight brawlers. Dominick currently holds the UFC bantamweight championship gold and Faber has proudly held the World Extreme Cagefighting’s featherweight title. Dominick and Urijah both men secure first and second
position in UFC’s bantamweight rankings respectively.
UFC President Dana White while explaining and somewhat promoting his unique idea of a reality TV show said, “What we are doing this season with 'The Ultimate Fighter Live' – it's never been done with television, with sports, with anything. Basically, the
reality portions of the show that you're going to see will have been shot in the last two days, so everything is real time. The most incredible part of all this is that these fights are live, every Friday night. This is revolutionary television.”
The Ultimate Fighter 15 (TUF 15) will start from March 9, 2012 and will televise all the 16 elimination bouts. The final episode of the bout will be televised on June 1, 2012 and the octagon for the grand finale brawl will be setup at The Palms Casino Resort
situated in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
At the moment the list of all the 32 brawlers has also been released and all of them are expected to be a part of the half hour introductory show. It must be kept in mind that this is the first ever inaugural show on FX and will also be the first for Jon
Anik, the new TUF host.
